Q&A Collab Announcement || Thank You for 600 Followers!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

As you have probably already figured out from the remarkably mysterious title of this post, A Book Owl’s Corner has recently hit 600 followers!!

(Okay, fine, this actually already happened several weeks ago, at least if you also count my e-mail followers. But I needed to save this post for a week in which I was too lazy to create proper content! 😎 Such as, you know, a week in which I spent so much time grading my students’ short stories and math exams that I had absolutely no energy left to come up with anything creative of my own despite theoretically having five days off from school for winter break…)

But anyway: In truly soppy book blogger style, I would like to thank each and every one of you for accompanying me along this journey. No matter whether you’ve been here from the get-go, joined along the way, or only just stumbled across my weird little corner of the internet, I am grateful for every single one of you. Your comments, enthusiasm and support mean the world to me, and I always love chatting about books with you! 💙

So, to get into the spirit of things and celebrate, I’ve decided to do something totally original – a Q&A!! Yes, I realize that my creativity here is off the charts. It’s not like I didn’t already do this when I reached 100 followers. Or 500… But still! Now that there are at least 100 more of you, I’m sure there are plenty of open questions you feel like you need to know the answers to. So ask away!

However – Yes, there’s a “however”, did you really think I was going to be totally boring and just do a regular Q&A here? – in order to make this a bit more interactive and fun, I’ve decided that this time, there’s gonna be a twist to things. Rather than just me answering the questions, I figured we could use this opportunity to see how well this community knows each other by including some of you guys in the fun!

Basically, everyone who wants to participate would have to answer one of the questions, too, and secretly send me their answer by e-mail. Don’t worry, you’ll have total creative freedom here! You could either answer the question how you would personally answer it, you could try to guess how I would answer it and write that down, or you could come up with something totally wacko and weird…

The thing is, though, when my Q&A post actually gets published, each question will hopefully have two answers – the “real” one written by me and a “fake” one written by one of you guys. Which obviously means that you will then get to have fun guessing a) which answers I actually wrote and b) who wrote the fakes!

Whoever has the most correct guesses will, of course, win loads of blogospheric honor and, should they wish to, get to write a collab post with me on their blog on a topic of their choice. After all, if you’re putting in the work, I probably shouldn’t be the only person getting content out of this, right?

Anyway, that pretty much covers it, I think! Now it’s your turn to ask away down in the comments, and if you would like to answer a question for me, let me know and I’ll secretly e-mail you one within the next two weeks or so. If we have enough participants, I’m thinking of posting the Q&A sometime in April, so you should have plenty of time to come up with something!

Also, don’t be shy to reach out even if you’re new around here – everyone is welcome, and a good mix of answers should definitely make things more fun 🤗 Remember, I need your collaboration so that this idea doesn’t flop, so how this turns out depends on you!

(In other words: Please, please, please ask and answer some questions for me, guys? 🥺 ** insert huge puppy dog eyes here ** 🥺)

Finally though: Thanks again for 600 followers! Regardless of whether you want to participate in this Q&A or not, you guys are the best!

Congratulations on reaching 600 followers!! 🥳🥳🥳 And super cool twist on the Q&A! It does make it difficult for me to ask mean questions, though 🤔😂

    Well, here are my questions:
    1. How did your obsession with owls start? I want the origin story!
    2. Do you have any advice on how to pick good books for buddy reads?

I’ll come back if I come up with more, and you’re of course welcome to send me any and all the questions you want 😁

Well, theoretically, you could still ask the mean questions and hope someone else was able to impersonate me well enough to come up with a convincingly tortured-sounding answer… But then again, I also don’t mind not having to make impossible choices this time around! 😜

And thanks for the questions and for agreeing to participate – I’ll definitely be sending some questions your way once I’ve collected a few! 💙

Congrats on 600 followers, so well deserved!! 🎉❤️💐
I love a Q&A and this is definitely a fun twist, you are going to get everyone analysing all the sentences 😂

    Some questions…
    1. Has anyone ever made you feel that reading fantasy is a “lesser genre” (e.g. for children/not academic)?
    2. (this question is one I’ve been asked by Lauren from twenty seven letters, but I liked it) Pick 3 book villains to come to your dinner party.

I am happy to try and answer a question (my email is meandink@outlook.com)!! 🥰

Thank you, Sophie! 💙 I’m already itching to answer those questions of yours, and yes, I intend to have lots of fun watching everyone pick apart those sentences! 😂 It’ll be so interesting to see if everyone’s writing styles are distinct enought that people can recognize them!

And thank you for agreeing to participate! I’ll definitely be sending some questions your way!

Congratulations!! 600 is so nice! (ofc you gotta count the email followers!)
I would love to “help” answer questions for this totally original idea😉

    Mine:
What is the last book that you read that was so boring that you barely got through it?
Have you DNF any books lately?
Do you write blog posts from multiple devices? What is your favorite to use?
How do you feel about 600 follows? Did you ever think you would get that many?
Bonus: How many blogs do you follow?

Congratulations on your 600 followers! It is well-deserved. Similar to Janette above, I am struggling to come up with questions at the moment , but I am very interested in reading your follow up post because the questions asked are so intriguing and fun. I think it is a superb idea to make this event interactive.

    okay, questions:
    – what is your favourite type of content to write and read? are they the same?
    – is there anything about blogging you wish you had known before you started or found out earlier?
    – what are your go-to books to recommend to people?
    – if you had to have a blog NOT based on books, what would you blog about?
    – which book’s world would you love to live in?

And I’m up for the collab to secretly answer one of your questions! 👀
