Q & A Announcement || Thank you for 700 followers!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

With it being summer solstice week and all, I know it’s technically time for my Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag, but seeing that I only just mentioned a bunch of my 2024 favorites in The Quarter Year Crisis Book Tag and am still hoping I’ll miraculously read about 50 five-star reads within the next week so that I’ll have something new to recommend to you, we’re postponing that… The freaking-out is in the works, I promise!

Besides, since A Book Owl’s Corner passed the 700-follower mark about three weeks ago and I didn’t ever properly thank you, I feel like that’s definitely overdue! To be honest, I still don’t really understand why so many of you guys are here, especially with me being regularly absent and unoriginal this year, but your support means the world to me. Your heartfelt comments never fail make me smile, the friendships I’ve made on here are something I treasure beyond words, and I’m always thrilled to meet other people from all around the world who are just as excited about reading as I am. So thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart! ๐Ÿ’™

Anyway, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a Q&A on this blog – especially a “normal” one where I didn’t heinously make other people answer the questions for me – so I figured, why not give this another go? Anyone who’s a bit newer around here can get to know me better, and those of you who’ve been here since the very beginning or joined somewhere around the way can ask me embarrassing questions they’ve always wanted to know the answers to.

(Okay, well, I might not answer them if they’re too embarrassing, but you get the point!)

So ask away! With my Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag and June wrap-up in the works, you’ve got at least three weeks to keep those queries coming, although I’ll still try my best to answer them in a relatively timely manner. Book-related questions, life-related questions, other-stuff-related questions – whatever you’d like to know! Also, as an added bonus, I figured I’d answer your questions in whatever language you ask them in, provided I can speak it. (Otherwise, I’m just gonna use google translate to read whatever you asked and quite possibly give you an English answer that has absolutely nothing to do with what you wanted to know ๐Ÿคช) I mean, I did promise you a language update eventually, right? This is your chance!

Anyway, I’d really love to hear from you, and thanks again, so much, for your support!

      And thank YOU for all your great book recommendations over the years! I never would’ve read The Goblin Emperor without you, and I actually also just finished Daughter of the Empire at the beginning of the month and am now desperately trying to access a copy of book two…

      Well, to tell you the truth, it’s not so much bravery as me panicking over not having anything to post and needing something I could write quickly for today ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™ˆ But shhh!

      However, are you really making me RANK Graceling characters? ๐Ÿ˜ญ I don’t know if that counts as trying to be nice, I love way too many of them!! But you did say all those nice things at the end, so maybe I’ll let it slide… ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’™

      Thank you, Jan – I’m so happy we’ve been on this blogging journey together for so many years now! ๐Ÿ’™ And love your questions! The favorite character one is already giving me a huge headache, but I can already tell I’m gonna have so much fun trying to narrow it down! ๐Ÿค—

    2. Do you have a favourite city/town/place in Germany and Austria that you try to go back frequently?
    3. Do you have a language youโ€™d love to study apart from the ones youโ€™ve started? This doesnโ€™t have to be a short-term goal, anything youโ€™ve always wanted to try some day works too.

      Oooh, thanks Lila! I’m so thrilled to have a fellow STEM girl like you in our little corner of the internet and can’t wait to answer your questions! ๐Ÿค— Although, gosh, I’m only just realizing how many of the fiction novels featuring people im STEM that I’ve read are about men ๐Ÿ˜… I’m gonna have to do some good hard thinking to counteract that a bit! And I love your other questions, too!

      Thanks, Sumedha! ๐Ÿค— Love the questions – I’m going to have to think long and hard about my ridiculous blogging experiences now ๐Ÿคฃ – and I’m truly flattered you like my posts so much! I guess I just kind of find them uninspired compared to the types of stuff I wrote a few years ago? Like, most of the posts I’ve written this year are either tags, wrap-ups, or something I’ve done before, and I kind of miss the days I’d just randomly wake up and think “Oh, let’s design a really horrible book cover today!” or “Hmm, let’s write a nanowrimo parody filled with all of your least favorite overused book tropes!” or “These disturbing Duolingo sentences really remind me of books, let’s pair them up!”… I’m just kind of itching to write something DIFFERENT – like your latest watch post, for example – but I either don’t have any cool ideas or my ideas are so much work that I immediately postpone them far into the future when I’ll “have more free time” ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚ I don’t know – maybe that just happens when you’ve been at this for a while? I’m glad you still think my posts are wacky, though! That’s all I’ve ever aspired to achieve! ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜
